Climate Star 2012 – The Award for successful Local Authorities in the Climate Alliance

In 2012 Climate Alliance honours successful member cities and municipalities with the Climate Star again. The Climate Star is awarded for outstanding programmes, and demonstrates experiences and achievements at communal level. The award highlights the variety of local strategies employed to protect the climate and provides a platform to motivate other municipalities to follow suit.

Present, award and imitate – is the principle of Climate Alliance for the Climate Star. “Climate unites people” is the motto, when local climate protection projects from across Europe are awarded for the fifth time.

On invitation of the Regional Authority of Lower Austria the Climate Stars will be presented during a gala at Schloss Hof (Municipality of Engelhartstetten, near the boarder with Slovakia) on 26 April 2012. You are cordially invited!
